It's only January, but Wednesday night felt a bit like late spring in Boston.
TD Garden was buzzing for a potential playoff preview between the Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors that lived up to the hype.
Celtics guard Kyrie Irving took over late in front of a sellout crowd, scoring or assisting on Boston's final 25 points in a thrilling, 117-108 win. Irving finished with 27 points and 18 assists, but his biggest bucket of the night was an incredibly deep 3-pointer with 1:38 remaining that ballooned the Celtics' lead to five.
Late Wednesday night, the C's tweeted a cool courtside view of Irving's dagger.
Jayson Tatum was every Celtics fan in their living room celebrating that shot.
Here's another courtside video of Irving's alley-oop assist to Al Horford that furthered Boston's lead:
Irving took the spotlight after the game, too, admitting he recently called ex-teammate LeBron James to apologize and seek advice about leading a young team.
