Warriors say goodbye to new Celtic David Lee

The Celtics got better on Tuesday when they sent veteran Gerald Wallace to the Golden State Warriors in exchange for David Lee.

It was a win-win for both teams. Lee, who was relegated to a bench role after the emergence of Draymond Green, will get a chance to have a big impact with the Celtics. While Wallace averaged under 10 minutes per game for the Celtics, his contract is a cap-friendly hit that will help the Warriors soften the blow of the luxury tax bill they will face.

That said, Warriors players took to social media to express how bittersweet it was as news spread that Lee was shipped to Boston.

Klay Thompson posted a picture of the two embracing on Instagram with the following caption:

"It's tough to see my big bro D Lee go, Boston gotta great player and true pro. A true vet who looked out for me and all the young guys. I'm not alone in saying this but DubNation is gonna miss u my man!"
