The #KawhiWatch will likely extend past July 4th.
The last of the unsigned, high-profile free agents may wait to make his decision - said to be between the Lakers and returning to Toronto - past the holiday, according to a report from The Athletic's Jabari Young.
The NBA Finals MVP who led the Raptors to their first championship last month will certainly help shift the balance of power in the Eastern Conference if he chooses to join LeBron James and Anthony Davis in Los Angeles. The reference to a two-year deal in Young's report appears to be a response to a Wednesday morning report from ESPN's Jalen Rose that he "99% hearing that Kawhi will be returning to Toronto and signing a two-year contract."
UPDATE (July 4, 2:05 p.m.): According to FS1's Cris Carter, no decision will be coming from Leonard on the Fourth of July. #KawhiWatch will continue on.
