The Boston Celtics' first game after the NBA All-Star break will be against the new-look Brooklyn Nets, who will soon add another quality player to their roster.

The Nets are waiving Jevon Carter to create a roster spot to sign free agent guard Goran Dragic from the buyout market, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Toronto Raptors traded Dragic to the San Antonio Spurs before the Feb. 10 NBA trade deadline. The Spurs bought him out last week.

The 35-year-old veteran hasn't played since Nov. 13. He averaged 13.4 points and 4.4 assists in 50 games for the Miami Heat last season.

It's possible Dragic makes his Nets debut versus the Celtics when the two teams meet in Brooklyn on Thursday. It'll be interesting to see how much Dragic plays with the Nets, who are now very deep at point guard with Kyrie Irving, Patty Mills and newly acquired Ben Simmons already on the depth chart.
