NBA Power Rankings: Who are teams to beat after trade deadline?

Boston Celtics fans had reason for optimism this weekend.

After reshuffling the roster on NBA trade deadline day -- Evan Fournier, Moe Wagner and Luke Kornet in; Daniel Theis, Jeff Teague and Javonte Green out -- the Celtics won two in a row and appeared to have their mojo back.

Then they promptly lost two straight and appear right back where they started as one of the NBA's biggest underachievers.

That's no hyperbole, either. Boston entered the season with the fifth-best NBA championship odds and enters Thursday 18th in the overall standings.

Only two teams have a great disparity between their preseason title odds and current position: The COVID-displaced Toronto Tampa Raptors and the Houston Rockets, who traded their superstar nine games into the season.

As Celtics fans ponder why their team can't win games, plenty of other teams got better or worse by tinkering with their rosters at the deadline.

Let's dive into the current state of the league in our latest batch of NBA Power Rankings.
