LeBron James tweets praise of Kyrie Irving after Celtics star beats Raptors

If anyone knows just how good Kyrie Irving can be, it's the Boston Celtics star's former teammate, LeBron James.

James and Irving spent three seasons together with the Cleveland Cavaliers and helped bring the franchise its first ever NBA Finals triumph in 2016.

Irving went off for a season-high 43 points in the Celtics' 123-116 overtime win over the Toronto Raptors on Friday night at TD Garden. James, like everyone else watching, was amazed at Irving's performance.

The Los Angeles Lakers star even tweeted some praise for his former sidekick:

Irving also notched his first career game with 40-plus points and 10-plus assists in Boston's much-needed win against Toronto. Here are some other notes from the veteran guard's excellent night.

The Celtics and Raptors each have one win apiece in their season series, and Boston now sits just two games behind Toronto in the loss column. And the C's have Irving to thank for that.
