Giving the people what they want.
The NBA is reportedly planning to televise this year's All-Star Draft after failing to do so in its inaugural season.
Last year's draft featured LeBron James and Stephen Curry picking the teams. Kyrie Irving landed on Team LeBron while Al Horford played for Team Curry.
This season, the Celtics have the potential to produce five All-Stars in Gordon Hayward, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown in addition to Irving and Horford.
The team captains are decided based on who has the most fan votes, and with James' departure to Los Angeles, that spot is up for grabs in the East. If LeBron beats out Curry in the popular vote out West, Irving could face off against his former running mate.
Everyone is aware of Irving's trade request from the Cavaliers last summer, so this matchup would be too delicious to pass up.
Irving finished third in the East in fan votes behind James and Giannis Antetokounmpo, so there's a realistic shot at Irving winning the captaincy.

Competition will be stiff. Antetokounmpo is still with Milwaukee, Joel Embiid's popularity grows every day and Kawhi Leonard is the new leader of the Raptors.
So if you want to see Irving and LeBron fight over who they want on their team on national television, make sure to vote accordingly.
