The Celtics may be without leading scorer Kyrie Irving when they face the Nets in Brooklyn Monday night.
The news is something of a surprise, as Irving didn't mention an injury after Saturday night's frustrating loss in Orlando.
Boston has dropped two in a row after losses in Miami on Thursday night and then Orlando. After the 105-103 loss to the Magic, Irving appeared visibly upset with how the Celtics' final play unfolded and in his postgame comments, suggested that younger players are not playing hard enough for a full 48 minutes and said they’ve got to appreciate more the opportunity that’s in front of them.
Terry Rozier will likely step into the starting lineup if Irving, who leads the C's with 22.7 points per game and 6.4 assists per game, can't play.
