Share

The Boston Celtics will be without superstar point guard Kyrie Irving when they host the Brooklyn Nets at TD Garden.

Irving leads the Celtics in scoring (23.7 points per game), assists (6.9 per game) and steals (1.7 per game).

Backup point guard Terry Rozier is expected to start in Irving's place. He last started in Irving's absence last Wednesday in Boston's win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Rozier scored 26 points on 9-for-13 shooting with eight rebounds and six assists in that victory.

Monday's matchup is the third of four games in the Celtics-Nets season series. These teams split the first two meetings.
