No, Kyrie Irving didn't tell the Barclays Center crowd in Brooklyn, "If you'll have me, I plan on re-signing here..."
But the former Celtics point guard, who, of course, uttered those words that would become infamous in Boston after his free-agent exodus to the Nets this summer, did appear to get emotional as he addressed the crowd before Brooklyn's season opener on Wednesday.
"I'm eternally grateful to be here, to be back home in front of you guys and my teammates. On behalf of us...," Irving then paused as said, "Oh, man, I'm sorry it's just hitting me right now..."

The Nets play in Boston on Nov. 27, the night before Thanksgiving. Just a guess, but Irving probably won't be addressing the TD Garden crowd that night, though some folks in the crowd might have something to say to him.
