How do you rebound from the worst shooting performance of your career? You shoot some more, of course.
Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum scored five points on a dreadful 1-for-18 shooting Monday night against Dallas Mavericks at TD Garden.
That's not garden-variety bad. That's "making history" bad.
The Celtics walked away with a 116-106 win, though, and about two hours after the victory, Tatum posted a Snapchat video from another gym: the Celtics' practice facility in Brighton, about seven miles down the road from TD Garden.
"Gotta be able to laugh at ya self sometime!" Tatum wrote in the caption. "Glad we won! on to next."
That Tatum headed to the Auerbach Center for a late-night shooting session rather than sulk is a positive sign for the 21-year-old, whose coach gave him a vote of confidence after the game.
"Just one of those nights. Just means a lot of good nights are coming," Celtics coach Brad Stevens said of Tatum. "I don’t lose sleep over missed shots."
Tatum also had the right mindset after his brutal shooting night -- mild exasperation aside.

"I mean, a couple of times where it bounced six times, I was like [expletive]," Tatum told reporters after the game. "You got to keep playing. In the end, all that matters is if you win. Eight in a row, so we just keep winning."
