The Boston Celtics were significantly shorthanded in their game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night, and it showed.
With Jayson Tatum a late scratch due to an illness and Kemba Walker out on the latter end of a back-to-back, the C's couldn't do enough to take down the Grizzlies.
The C's started well. They scored 64 points in the first half and took a five-point lead into the locker room. And they did have enough in the tank to come from behind in the fourth quarter and send the game into overtime.

However, the C's just couldn't finish things off in overtime and lost by a final score of 132-126.
Memphis managed to score 80 points in the paint, which was far and away the most that the C's have allowed on the season. Their previous high was 60 points allowed to the Indiana Pacers earlier in the season.
The C's offense did show up, and six players scored in double figures to help offset the losses of Tatum and Walker. Jeff Teague had a season-high 26 points, but it wasn't enough to get the job done.
FINAL SCORE: Grizzlies 132, Celtics 126
