The Boston Celtics made a valiant effort late in the fourth quarter, but they were unable to complete the comeback vs. the New Orleans Pelicans.
A 15-0 run wasn't enough to propel the C's to victory as they fell by a score of 115-109. Zion Williamson led the way for New Orleans with 28 points to go with eight rebounds and four steals. Brandon Ingram helped out with 25 points and nine assists. Altogether, the Pelicans shot 51.6 percent from 3-point range and Boston simply couldn't keep up (33.3 percent).
Evan Fournier made his C's debut, but it was a night to forget for the former Magic forward as he missed all 10 of his shot attempts and finished with zero points. Jayson Tatum was the star for Boston with 34 points, nine rebounds, and five assists. Kemba Walker chimed in with 23 points of his own.
