Halftime stars, studs and duds: Successful return for Horford


Here’s a look at the Stars, Studs and Duds after the first half of Boston’s matchup with the Detroit Pistons in which the Celtics went into the half ahead 50-47.



Al Horford

Horford’s return to the floor was successful one. In addition to playing great interior defense, Horford also scored 12 points and grabbed six rebounds.

Andre Drummond

He gave the Celtics problems with 11 points and six rebounds, but found himself on the bench for long stretches after picking up two personal fouls in the first quarter.



Isaiah Thomas

The 5-foot-9 Thomas is trending towards a double-double, tallying 13 points and six assists in the first half.

Marcus Morris

Boston had lots of problems defending him most of the first half as Morris led the Pistons in scoring with 14 points on 6-for-10 shooting.

Tobias Harris

He was close to his team-leading 16.5 points per game average after just two quarters, he had 12 points.



Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

He was a non-factor the entire first half, going scoreless while missing his lone shot attempt from the field.
