BOSTON -- Marcus Morris is all about the home team doing all they can to support their players. So as you can imagine, the ex-Celtic wasn't overly thrilled with the New York Knicks fans cheering on Celtics center Tacko Fall when he entered the game, or those who were chanting, “We-want-Tacko” at various points in the Boston blowout win.
Fall, who is on the active roster for tonight’s rematch with the Knicks, scored his first points in the NBA that night as the Celtics blew out the Knicks 118-95 with Fall getting late-game duty and finished with four points and three rebounds.
Reflecting on the last time he saw Fall and the Celtics, Morris acknowledged he understood the unusual cheering that went on at Madison Square Garden for the 7-foot-7 rookie.
“Man, how could you be upset at Tacko Fall?” Morris said prior to tonight's game. “I definitely understand where they’re coming from. I wish it was the other way, you know, us beating their ass and they throw him in. But obviously, Tacko, I’ve heard nothing but good things about him.”
