Eddie House's analogy to describe Malcolm Brogdon's game is brilliant

Malcolm Brogdon wasn't messing around Sunday night.

The veteran guard played his best game in a Boston Celtics uniform, dropping a season-high 23 points on 6-of-12 shooting to spark a 112-94 win over the Washington Wizards at TD Garden.

Brogdon was assertive on the offensive end, repeatedly getting to the basket and going a perfect 8 for 8 from the free throw line. How assertive, you ask? Former Celtics guard Eddie House dropped the perfect analogy after the game on NBC Sports Boston's "Celtics Postgame Live."

"To me, Malcolm Brogdon is the dude with the black Air Force Ones," House said. "You don't want to mess with him. You might look at him and be like, 'Oh, whatever,' but then you look down at his feet and you're like, 'Oh, he got on the black Forces... I don't know.'

"He came out with the business tonight. He set the tone for the bench."

If anyone has ever had to face the dude wearing the black Air Force Ones in a pickup game, they know what House is talking about. Brogdon appeared to get a kick out of House's take after the game.

Brogdon has come as advertised through six games with the Celtics after his trade from the Indiana Pacers this offseason. The 29-year-old has tallied double-digit points in four of those six contests, providing an offensive jolt as the rock-solid floor general for Boston's second unit.

If Brogdon can stay healthy and continue to deliver this kind of production off the bench, the Celtics have serious potential.
