Stating the obvious, the NBA is full of freak athletes. Many of them would excel at other sports if they didn't choose to play basketball professionally.
Some could have even enjoyed a solid career in the NFL. In fact, former Boston Celtics guard Eddie House believes a handful of his 2008 C's teammates would have seen their athleticism translate to the gridiron.

With both the C's and New England Patriots in action Monday night, House joined Patriots Pregame Live and shared which members of the '08 NBA championship squad would have fared best in football.
"We're going to talk about Big Baby (Glen Davis) number one because just his size alone," House said.
PGL host Michael Holley suggested the 6-foot-9, 290-pound Davis would fit well on the offensive line, but House had other ideas.
"Maybe d-end. Let's talk about how good his feet are. How good his hands are. So I think that's a guy that can definitely play.

"But then also I think (Rajon) Rondo. Rondo played football in high school, he was a really good quarterback. But I'm not gonna slight myself, because I always was the fastest player on my team. I had fantastic hands and I think I could get out there and get open against anybody in my prime. I don't care who it was. In my prime, I feel I was just as fast as anybody."
As for the position he'd play, House didn't hesitate to choose wide receiver.
"I want to be on offense. I want to get the money. I want to catch the ball. I've got some dances, all that," he said.
Now that would be a sight to see.
The Patriots are taking on the Bears on Monday Night Football. The C's are in Chicago to take on the Bulls as they look to improve to 4-0 on the season.
