When Kyrie Irving revealed his conversation with LeBron James in which he asked his ex-teammate for advice on how to lead a young team, he drew praise from some and criticism from others.
Mark NBA on ESPN analyst Doris Burke down as one who wasn't crazy about Irving bringing the conversation up. In the latest Celtics Talk Podcast, Burke explained why.
"Listen, he is a great player," Burke said. "I really didn't love that he brought up the LeBron conversation in any number of fronts. I sometimes wonder about all of the team business that gets put in the streets. And we should love it obviously, we're media members, but it's just fascinating me that some of the stuff makes it out there."
While Burke may not have particularly loved Irving putting his call with LeBron out there, she praised his ability to elevate his teammates with his fearlessness.
"I can't question his fearlessness," Burke added. "When he hits the shot against Golden State I happened to be almost right in front of him, and that kind of fearlessness just elevates the confidence of everybody around him. And when he's rolling, it's special. It's really, really special."
Burke also discussed how the Celtics have overcome adversity this season, as well as the C's upcoming matchup vs the Warriors.
