Dickerson: Isaiah Thomas will ‘never' be a star

At what point will Isaiah Thomas be a star?

Most Celtics fans would probably respond by pausing and saying, “Uh…right now!?”

Greg Dickerson says not so fast.

“That would be never,” said Dickerson. “Unless Isaiah Thomas starts growing four or five inches. It’s just the nature of the beast in this game. Name to me the number of 5’9” or 5’10” transcendent, or superstar players in the NBA in the last 20 years. I’ll give you one: Allen Iverson, and that’s it.”

Ouch.

Over the last three years, Thomas is averaging 19.8 points and 5.7 assists, with a 49.8 eFG% and a 27.5 usage.

That sure sounds like a star . . . at least now Isaiah has a little bit more motivation to use.
