Daniel Theis suffers sprained left ankle in second quarter vs. Raptors, returns in second half

BOSTON -- Daniel Theis went down with an ankle sprain injury in the second quarter, but was able to return for the start of the third quarter.

Here's a look at play where Theis was injured, courtesy of the Celtics on NBC Sports Boston Twitter account.

Having Theis in the starting lineup has been a good thing for the Celtics.

Friday was Theis’ sixth career start, with the Celtics winning each of the previous five games with him beginning the game with the first unit.

The Celtics were already down Enes Kanter (knee) and Tacko Fall (concussion), so having Theis available gives them three healthy big men along with Robert Williams and Vincent Poirier.
