The outbreak of COVID-19 has presented teams with a few challenges in preparing for the 2020 NBA Draft.
The remainder of the 2019-20 college basketball season was canceled in March. These games, especially during the NCAA Tournament, provided valuable scouting opportunities for NBA teams. Social distancing measures, the closing of practice facilities and other guidelines also have prevented teams from working out players and interviewing them in person.
However, thanks to modern technology, teams are still able to do plenty of scouting through watching film and by interviewing players in virtual meetings.

Despite the unique situation, Celtics assistant general manager Mike Zarren is confident his team will be well-prepared to succeed in the 2020 draft, whenever it happens.
He talked about this subject Friday during a video call with season ticket holders:
The 2020 draft is an important one for the Celtics.
They could own as many as three first-round picks. The C's have their own first-rounder, the Memphis Grizzlies' first-round pick (if it lands outside the top six) and the Milwaukee Bucks' first-round selection. Boston doesn't have the need or room on its roster for three more rookies, so it would make sense to trade one or two of these first-rounders.

The 2020 NBA Draft is scheduled for June 25 but could be pushed back to later in the year.
