Tremont Waters has been impressive in his first year as a pro, and on Monday he was rewarded for his efforts.
The Boston Celtics rookie was named NBA G League Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 24.
Waters, the C's No. 51 overall pick in this year's draft, averaged 24.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 2.0 steals on the week to help the Maine Red Claws get off to a 5-0 start to the season. The LSU product has made Red Claws games appointment television alongside fellow C's rookies Tacko Fall and Romeo Langford.

On the year, Waters is averaging 20.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 7.8 assists.
Waters was promoted to the Celtics roster on his two-way contract following Kemba Walker's scary neck injury on Friday night. He'll take the court for Boston on Monday night against the Sacramento Kings at 7:30 p.m. ET.
The undefeated Red Claws also play Monday night at 8 p.m. when they'll face off against the Memphis Hustle.
