BOSTON -- Here are the Stars, Studs and Duds in Boston’s 116-95 win over Brooklyn whose three-game winning streak comes to an end while Boston (24-15) extends its winning streak to three in a row fueled by eight different double-digit scorers.
STARS
Kyrie Irving: It was the third quarter when the Boston Celtics really took over the game, and it’s no surprise that was Irving’s best quarter scoring the ball. He would finish with 17 points on 8-for-16 shooting to go with six assists.
Rodions Kurucs: If you haven’t followed the Brooklyn Nets this season, you probably had no idea who Kurucs was until he started raining 3’s in the first half. He led the Nets with 24 points which included him making five 3-pointers.
STUDS
Marcus Smart: It was Smart’s long-range shooting that really got both him and the Celtics going early on. Smart would finish the game with 12 points which included him making four three-pointers.

Ed Davis: Coming off the Brooklyn bench, Davis was active around the glass which led to him getting to the free throw line often in the first half. He would tally a near double-double of 11 points and nine rebounds.
Gordon Hayward: There was no season-high scoring night or flirting with a triple-double, but Hayward had a strong game for Boston. He would tally 12 points for his third straight double-digit game scoring, a first for him this season since tallying double-digit points in Boston’s first three games of the season.
Al Horford: It was a very Al Horford kind of game, one in which the veteran big man contributed in a multitude of categories to finish with 12 points, nine rebounds and five assists.
Spencer Dinwiddie: The Nets had a couple of nice surges in the third quarter, with Spencer Dinwiddie playing a prominent part in helping Brooklyn get back in the game. He would finish the game with 15 points off the Nets bench.
Jayson Tatum: He did a really nice job of being aggressive as both a scorer and facilitator on Monday, as he tallied 16 points to go with four rebounds and four assists.
DUDS
D’Angelo Russell: The Nets came in having won three in a row, games in which Russell eclipsed the 20-point barrier in every game. On Monday, Russell had just 5 points on 2-for-6 shooting from the field along with five assists.
