If you've ever been inside the Boston Garden, you know they only hang banners for championships.
The expectations around these parts are not to simply just make the playoffs - or advance to the NBA Finals - but to be the last team standing.
In the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's there were plenty of banners to be hung. After a long drought, the Celtics hung another in 2008.
The players may have all changed since then, but the goal remains the same for Celtics coach Brad Stevens, entering his third year with the organization.
"I had one goal at the last job and that was to win the National Championship and I have one goal at this job and that's to win an NBA Championship," Stevens said. "How long those things take to get there that's the only thing I'll put down as a goal, that's the only thing I'll ever talk as a goal about to our players."
Boston may not be anywhere near favorites to even go to the NBA Finals this season, but with that type of attitude at the top they are working their way there season by season.
