Watch Blue Jays steal home on Chris Sale in another bad outing for Red Sox ace

Chris Sale's start to the 2019 season went from bad to worse when Toronto Blue Jays designated hitter Lourdes Gurriel Jr. stole home in the fourth inning of Tuesday's Boston Red Sox home opener at Fenway Park.

The Red Sox ace wasn't able to get the ball home quick (or accurately) enough and Gurriel's steal put the Jays up 5-2. Check out the crazy play in the video below:

Red Sox fans in attendance, as you might imagine, weren't happy with their team falling asleep and voiced their displeasure with a few boos.

Sale gave up seven hits and five runs (all earned) with three strikeouts and zero walks over four innings. His ERA for the season stands at 9.00 after his latest outing, which isn't anywhere close to what is expected from one of baseball's best starting pitchers.

On the bright side for Sale, he did get his first swing-and-miss on a fastball this season. Progress is progress, right?
