Following this week's surprising turn of events over on Yawkey Way in which Red Sox general manager Ben Cherington was abruptly replaced by Dave Dombrowski, formerly of the Detroit Tigers, it was certainly fair to wonder how it all came to pass.
Sean McAdam and Lou Merloni, both surprised by the news when it was announced during Tuesday's win over the Cleveland Indians, discussed whether Cherington, who was reportedly asked to stay on by Dombrowski and Red Sox ownership only to decline the offer, left on his own accord or was pushed out with Bob Neumeier on The Baseball Show.
