Tebow homers in first minor-league at-bat

Former kind-of Patriot (that’s the excuse for posting this) Tim Tebow homered in his first minor league at-bat Thursday.

Tebow, who had stints in the NFL with the Broncos and Jets before signing deals with (and ultimately not making the rosters of) the Pats and Eagles, is attempting a pro baseball career at 29. Last month, he went 0-for-3 in a spring training game against the Red Sox.

Playing for the Columbia Fireflies (the Mets Class A affiliate), Tebow hit an opposite-field two-run homer Thursday night.
