BOSTON — The first game of the Red Sox' American League Division Series is scheduled to begin at 4:08 p.m. ET Thursday in Houston, and televised on either FS1 or MLB Network. The radio broadcast will be on WEEI.

The Red Sox will have Chris Sale on the mound, likely against Justin Verlander of the Astros, although the Astros have yet to make an official announcement.

Game 2 of the DS is to be at 2:05 ET Friday, also on FS1/MLB Network and WEEI.

The start time for Game 3, the first of the series at Fenway Park, and the times for potential Games 4 and 5, have not been announced.

For Games 1 and 2 of the other ALDS, it seems like the network folks, or those at MLB or both, are hoping the Yankees and the New York market are involved.

The first game of the other ALDS, which is to be held between the Indians and the winner of Tuesday’s Wild Card game between the Twins and Yankees, will be in primetime. Game 1 of the Indians-Wild Card winner DS is at 7:38 p.m. ET on Thursday, carried on FS1 or MLBN.

Game 2 of the Indians DS will be at 5:08 p.m. ET Friday on the same stations.
