Red Sox center fielder Mookie Betts, recovering from a concussion, could rejoin the team as early as Tuesday when Boston opens a two-game series in Miami, Brian MacPherson of the Providence Journal reports.
Betts went through a pregame workout on Friday and another one is scheduled on Saturday. He'll then play in a minor league rehab game. If that all goes well, he could be back with the major league team Tuesday.
Betts, 22, was injured July 28 when he flipped over the bullpen wall at Fenway Park while trying to make a catch. He’s hitting .265, with 10 home runs, 48 RBI, 52 runs scored, and 13 stolen bases. Jackie Bradley, Jr. has been playing center in his absenc
