Renfroe continues crazy success vs. Red Sox with latest Fenway homer

The Hunter Renfroe Revenge Tour rolls on.

It's been a year and four months since the Boston Red Sox traded Renfroe to the Milwaukee Brewers, and the outfielder continues to destroy his former team.

Now with the Los Angeles Angels, Renfroe kicked off his team's series finale at Fenway Park on Monday by launching a three-run home run into the Green Monster seats.

Hitting moonshots at Fenway is nothing new for Renfroe, though. The 31-year-old slugger smacked two homers last season as a member of the Brewers during a three-game series in Boston, giving him three home runs in his last seven games at Fenway Park.

Renfroe also hit a Monster-scraping double in Friday's Red Sox-Angels series opener and drove in a run in his second at-bat Monday, giving himΒ 15 RBIsΒ in just seven games at Fenway since the Red Sox traded him.

Boston probably should have seen this coming, considering Renfroe mashed 31 homers with a career-high 96 RBIs during his lone season with the Red Sox in 2021. Renfroe entered Monday as a career .290 hitter at Fenway Park and is up to 19 home runs and 71 RBIs in 84 career games in Boston.

As for the return in that December 2021 Renfroe trade? Jackie Bradley Jr. is now with the Kansas City Royals after the Red Sox released him last August, while Hamilton and Binelas have yet to play in the big leagues.
