For the second straight year Hanley Ramirez is trying to learn how to play a new position during spring training.
On The Baseball Show, Hanley Ramirez said he was willing to shift positions twice because he is willing to do anything to help the Boston Red Sox win.
“This year, they want me to play first, I’m going to do it,” said Ramirez. “I still can play short. I still can play third. But it’s not me. I want to play where they think I fit better for the team and where we can win. I go out there with [coach Brian Butterfield] every day early and we just work. We put the work in.
“I’ve been in the infield my whole career. I’ve got the sense. I feel comfortable. I feel really comfortable.”
