It appears David Ortiz and David Price have buried the hatchet.
Ortiz reported to the Red Sox' spring-training camp in Fort Myers on Monday and, not long afterward, hugged it out with Price, against whom he once declared war:
People have been anticipating this moment from the day Price signed with the Red Sox, knowing the bad blood that existed between him and Ortiz. But both players made conciliatory comments over the winter, and no one really expected anything other than what transpired yesterday. Least of all the Sox, who fell all over themselves a) videotaping the meeting and b) rushing it out on social media.
Is it genuine? Time will tell. But for now, all is well in Red Sox Nation.
Except, of course, for Pablo Sandoval's weight and Hanley Ramirez's attitude.
