MLB Twitter is absolutely loving Jarren Duran's Red Sox call-up

The wait is over, Boston Red Sox fans.

Outfield prospect Jarren Duran will join the Red Sox in New York on Thursday and is set to make his major league debut, our John Tomase confirmed Wednesday night.

The No. 3 prospect in Boston's organization, Duran has showcased impressive power at Triple-A Worcester this season with 15 home runs and 32 RBIs and a .946 OPS in 46 games. It was only a matter of time before the 24-year-old reached The Show, and now that he's arrived, Red Sox fans are fired up.

That includes Duran's girlfriend, Kylie Granno, who posted a photo of the two hugging and a congratulatory message for Duran on her Instagram story.

Polar Park, the home stadium of the WooSox, also wished Duran well on its video scoreboard Wednesday night.

Here's more Twitter reaction to Duran's call-up, featuring a heavy dose of caps lock from elated Red Sox fans:

Duran would join Jackie Bradley Jr. and Mookie Betts among top Red Sox prospects to make their MLB debuts against the Yankees if he plays in the four-game series.

Boston also reportedly is recalling pitching prospect Tanner Houck for its weekend series against New York, so there should be plenty of buzz in the Bronx as the Sox look to improve upon their American League-leading 55-36 record.
