It won't exactly feel like spring at the Red Sox' home opener today

For those heading to Fenway Park this afternoon to see the Red Sox' spring 2019 home opener, you shouldn't expect much of the spring part.

Overcast skies and drizzle blanketed the Boston area on Tuesday morning, painting a picture at Fenway Park that looks much more like February than an MLB home opener:

According to NECN Weather, skies are expected to be overcast throughout the game, temperatures are expected to be in the 40s, and rain may roll in towards the end of the game, around 4 or 5 pm.

With a 2:05 pm start, the Red Sox might be able to stay dry.

The biggest concern for the Red Sox this afternoon probably has to do more with what's going on on the field than in the sky.

The Red Sox are off to their slowest start since 2011, went 3-8 over their first 11 games of the season, and return home battered after a bruising West Coast road trip.

The Sox will hope to turn things around today against the Toronto Blue Jays.
