How did Devers avoid this tag? Watch Red Sox star's incredible slide

Rafael Devers' talents extend beyond his ability to hit baseballs very hard.

During the sixth inning of the Boston Red Sox' Patriots' Day matchup with the Minnesota Twins at Fenway Park, Devers tried to advance from first to third base on a Xander Bogaerts double down the left field line.

Tomase: Devers situation feels like it's heading toward a Betts conclusion

The throw clearly beat Devers to the third base bag but was a bit off-line -- allowing Devers to do this.

Devers' first impressive feat was sliding around the diving tag of Minnesota third baseman Gio Urshela.

But his second act was even more impressive -- as Urshela lunged toward him, Devers managed to execute a half swim move and get his hand on the bag before Urshela tagged him.

That's one of the wildest slides you'll see all year, folks.

Devers is off to a hot start at the plate this season, entering Monday with 14 hits in his first nine games with two home runs and seven RBIs. Whether he'll be producing those kinds of numbers for Boston a few years from now remains to be seen, however.
