Garrett Richards has been shaky to start his first Red Sox season, but the right-hander turned in a dominant outing Tuesday night.
Richards struck out 10 New York Mets hitters while only allowing one runΒ on seven hits. Perhaps most importantly, he didn't walk anyone after walking six batters in his previous start.
Offensively, it was Bobby Dalbec and Rafael Devers getting the job done for Boston. Dalbec notched his first homer of the campaign and Rafael Devers drove in the go-ahead run with a single in the sixth inning.
