Dan Shaughnessy: ‘This goes down as the Kyrie disaster'

How much of the blame falls on Kyrie Irving for what went wrong with the Celtics?

Not all of it, Boston Globe columnist Dan Shaughnessy said on Early Edition in reacting to Jackie MacMullan's ESPN story that detailed the ups and downs of the soon-to-be-former Celtics point guard's relationship with his teammates, but certainly most of it.

"The imagery is pretty bad for Kyrie," Shaughnessy said. "He's the one who lied to the fans after saying I'll stick around if you'll have me. He's the one who choked in the playoffs after telling us all year, hey, just wait for the playoffs, I'll come around."

In short, said Shaughnessy, "This goes down as the Kyrie disaster."
