Brock Holt scratched from rehab start with shoulder soreness, is day-to-day

As the Red Sox continue to fight their way to look a little like the team they were a year ago, Brock Holt can't seem to get healthy.

Boston's key utility man has been sidelined with a scratched cornea since the beginning of April, and he was scratched from a rehab game Sunday with shoulder soreness. He is day-to-day according to the Red Sox.

Holt was struggling at the plate before he was sent to the 10-day injured list with his cornea injury, hitting 1-16 to go with seven strikeouts.

Meanwhile, the Red Sox have turned to rookie Michael Chavis at second base for the most part with Eduardo Nunez and Dustin Pedroia on the injured list as well.
