Baseball’s best players have come to Progressive Field in Cleveland to showcase their talents in the 2019 MLB All-Star Game on Tuesday night.
Three players from the defending World Series champion Boston Red Sox will take part in the Midsummer Classic.
J.D. Martinez is the starting DH and will bat fifth, while shortstop Xander Bogaerts and outfielder Mookie Betts are reserves. Betts went hitless in last year's All-Star Game, but Martinez collected one hit and Mitch Moreland had two. Red Sox players usually fare pretty well in these games.
The American League has beaten the National League in 18 of the last 22 All-Star Games, including a streak of six straight AL wins that began in 2013.
